A source reveals, ” As Vipul wanted to tap into the infectious enthusiasm of a live audience, he did not settle for junior artistes. Once the music started, everybody got into a lively mood. The song was shot with 18 cameras and we used 54 positions. I am happy with the result. “

The song called Jashn hai Jeet ka is a whooping six-minute long song!

Bipasha doesn’t mind being out of Race

Bipasha Basu sizzled and fizzled in Abbas-Mustan’s hit flick Race, however she has not been approached for the movie’s sequel, apparently even original directors Abbas-Mustan are also not interested in a sequel to Race instead they are interested in reviving their shelved project Mr.Fraud.

Bipasha says, “If Mr Fraud is revived I’d be happy to give dates. The film was shot in London and the styling was not time bound.”

“I heard even Abbas-Mustan are not doing Race 2. If the original directors are not doing the sequel, who am I? I haven’t been approached for Race 2. That’s fine. In Bollywood the heroines are never signed for sequels. It’s a tradition . Just check the sequels. The guys get repeated. The girls don’t. It’s a man’s world.I don’t feel like a second citizen for that. When Raaz 2 was made everyone kept asking why I wasn’t in it. But I never worried about that. No point in crying about it.”

“I don’t want do any more work than my pace allows me. I don’t want to compete with anybody. I’ve made a niche right from my first film. I’m Bipasha Basu. I don’t think there’s any replacement for that. I enjoy my work. But there so much more my vocation as an actor than just acting. I can do stage shows, be a businesswoman, work for social causes.I keep busy 24 by 7. At this stage of my life I don’t need to sit and pine for a role.”

So folks do you think Race2 can rock without Bipasha Basu?

Shahid-Kareena reshoot Milenge Milenge

Shahid Kapoor and Kareena recently got together to re-shoot some scenes for Milenge Milenge, for shooting scenes that look quite outdated.

Director Satish Kaushik says, “Yes,we have re-shot portions of Milenge Milenge in Delhi. The entire film is set in Delhi, just like my other hit film Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai with Kareena. In fact I was supposed to do another film with Kareena(Dil Chor with Abhishek Bachchan) for Boney. Instead we did Milenge Milenge.”

“ Both Kareena and Shahid have been complete professionals. If Milenge Milenge has taken so long to be completed it’s not because of the artistes. Everything from my personal family problems to Tsunami happened to Milenge Milenge. One schedule in Bangkok got cancelled at the last minute. Tsunami stuck and everyone got washed away in the tides where we were supposed to shoot. If the film could survive Tsunami, what’s a bit of negativity about a delayed project? Pakeezah and Mughal-e-Azam were in the making for decades.”

Milenge Milenge is inspired by Hollywood flick, Serendipity.

Bipasha says no, John says yes

Dusky beauty Bipasha Basu is proud of her color, and this is the only B-wood beauty you would never see endorsing a fairness cream, however beau John Abraham is stark opposite - the guy has just signed a deal to endorse a fairness cream.

A source says, “It’s not only a fairness cream,it’s also face care cream as well and that is why he’s going to endorse it!”

However some time ago, Bips made this statement, “You’ll never find me endorsing alcohol or fairness creams. Especially fairness cream, because I don’t like the whole penchant for fair skin. I was offered a product endorsement for a fairness cream ages ago, but I declined. In India, dark skinned girls are still subjected to taunts and pity. In the matrimonial columns, people still advertise for a fair bride. I’m dark skinned and very proud of that.”

Wonder what is Bipasha’s take on the new fairness guy John.

Kareena says move on Shahid

While Kareena always remained silent about her break-up with Shahid Kapoor. She has had enough of it now as she has broken the long maintained silence.

Although its two years since they broke up, whenever there is a talk about Shahid, Kareena’s and Saif name is bound to come up.

A friend of Kareena says, ” Kareena has been quietly watching the tamaasha unfold. Lately, almost every time Shahids name cropped up she too was mentioned , and not in a positive manner. To portray her as the restless woman who jilted Shahid for Saif is so unfair . Only Kareena and Shahid know what really happened to tear them apart.

The day Kareena opens her mouth, Shahids image of injured innocence will collapse in a heap. But Kareena is not one to wash dirty linen in public. She wishes Shahid well and would like nothing better than for both of them to move on. Kareena has moved on but the same cannot be said about Shahid.”

Constant comparision between Saif and Shahid is also on rise, with a buzz that Shahid has done a fabulous job in Kaminey, better than the original choice - Saif.

Saif reacting on the story says, “Normally, I wouldnt go by any conspiracy theory. But this does seem a little too much. Why are Kareena and I dragged into other peoples lives If someone talks about Kaminey, then Im forced to say the role was first offered to me. But do we have to resort to this silly game of oneupmanship Were all mature adults here and we should behave accordingly. “

Kareena however makes a bold and rude statement after a news channel recently aired an hour-long show about how Kareena is out to destroy Shahid’s love life, saying, “Why am I being dragged into all this I dont like my name to come up in connection with other peoples lives. Ive moved on and I wish Shahid Kapur would also do so. Beyond that I dont wish to say anything. Nothing can separate Saif and me. Certainly not these silly attempts to drag me back to a past Ive left behind. Please leave us alone. “

Whoa! wonder what Shahid will say about this?

Aishwarya to work with Vivek? Naah!

Last week buzz was hot that Aishwarya Rai is all set to pair up with her ex-lover Vivek Oberoi in Satish Kaushik’s upcoming flick Tansen which will also star Abhishek Bachchan.

However Satish slams the news, saying, “I’ve been getting so many calls from people asking me whether I have cast Vivek Oberoi in Tansen along with Abhishek and Aishwarya and the answer is no such thing has happened.”

“I’ve not approached Vivek, Salman Khan or even Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the film. I had only mentioned Abhishek’s name saying he is someone who can play the role well as he also has a certain star status and fan following.”

When he pressurized to give a clear explanation, Satish transfers his burden on Rajshri Productions.

Rajshri’s rep Mr Gupta, says, “We have spoken to Abhishek about Tansen and he had agreed to sit with us for the narration once our script is done. We are still busy scripting the film. Ravindra Jain is doing the music. I don’t know who started these rumours about Vivek and Salman being a part of Tansen. We haven’t even approached Ash as yet.”

So all those folks who were excited to see Abhi-Ash-Vivek’s chemistry onscreen, we say - Sorry folks!

SRK to be banned from watching IPL live?

SRK at a recent Kolkatta Knight Riders match was telecast on TV smoking, and this has made Anti-Smoking group to take strict against him.

The National Organization for Tobacco Eradication(NOTE) has issued a statement to South African National Council against Smoking (NACS) to ask the official broadcasters of IPL to not to telecast any footage of people or celebrities smoking.

NCAS’s convener, Peter Ucko says, “We have sent the details to Supersport, who are the official broadcasters of the IPL and the NCAS is in the process of soliciting an agreement that they will not show anyone smoking.”

Ucko on a serious not adds, “If Khan does it again we will ask the management to caution him, or we will seek his removal from the stadium.”

“We have also asked the stadium management to make no smoking announcements through the match and during drinks breaks.”

This sounds like a serious threat for SRK, with KKR losing most of its matches, a tense SRK is bound to smoke, lets hope KKR wins and SRK abstains from smoking from now onwards.

SRK film in Trouble Again?

Once more often!

It’s been quite some time since Shah Rukh Khan’s Dulha Mil Gaya went to shoot. But apparently, the film, produced by Viveck Vaswani is running into rough weather.

It seems that Anil Ambani’s BIG Pictures has given up on the rights of this film, which has already invested a substantial amount. The company sources say that it is restrategizing its plans in this recession times, due to which they have withdrawn.

On the flip side, Vaswani exudes confidence that once he’s ready with the film, he will re-offer the film to BIG Pictures. But if that doesn’t happen, he may refund the money to them.”

Oh no not again!

Shahid Kapoor gives up smoking

Handsome hunk Shahid Kapoor who was a teetotaler and non-smoker, had taken up heavy smoking in order to come out of the depression caused by his break up with sexy Kareena Kapoor. Gosh! Shahid you must have realized by now that Kareena doesn’t deserve your love, so why to get into depression. Just dump that girl out of your mind!!!

A close friend of Shahid revealed, “Shahid was a complete teetotaler, but he started smoking on the sets of Kismet Connection in Canada after his break-up with Kareena. He was often stressed out and we didn’t realize what was wrong with him. Suddenly, we saw him smoking heavily during the shoots. We thought it was work-related stress, but we were worried when we saw that he had become a chain smoker.”

Friends bugged him alot and advised him against becoming a chain smoker as it would ruin his health, and thankfully Shahid has realized his folly. As said by the close source, “Shahid realized that a lot had changed in his personal and professional life. Kareena has moved on and so has he. He has accepted things and is happier after Jab We Met was hugely appreciated. He doesn’t need cigarettes anymore!”

Shahid’s personal trainer and close friend Abbas Ali also confirmed the news, “Shahid is training very hard these days. But a few days back there was something amiss; he was not achieving the desired results. When he asked me what was wrong, I told him that his smoking was causing him much harm. Thank goodness, he kicked off the habit and has stuck to it.”

Shahid had taken up smoking on the sets of Kismet Connection and now has given up the habit prior to its release.

Sonam Kapoor grounded

Anil Kapoor is a strict dad and this is the reason why Sonam Kapoor was grounded after she returned home late at night.

A source reveals, “When it comes to his children, Anil Kapoor is a disciplinarian and has set rules and regulations for them. And the obedient children always abide by them. But recently Sonam reached home at about 4 a.m., after an outing with her friends. This did not go down too well with her dad and he reprimanded her and imposed a penalty - that she be grounded at home for the next one month, barring her professional commitments . And the child has taken the punishment without any protest.”

Anil is quite disciplined and protective about his kids, as the source adds, “Sonam is always guarded by two security escorts wherever she steps out of the house. Anil knows the ways of the industry and is very protective of his girl. “

However there was no confirmation from Sonam’s side about the story as she just said, ” I am always on time.”

So do you folks think Anil is quite right here?

Saif likes his Choti Begum even in swimsuit

Recently Saif announced that he has already considered his lady love Kareena Kapoor as the Choti Begum of Pataudi Khandaan.

The recent change in Kareena from western wear to sarees only intensified her passion and love towards the chote nawab, however Bebo is all set to rock and shock again as she turns sexy and bold in her upcoming flick Kambaqt Ishq oppostite Akshay Kumar and our Chote Nawab is quite at ease with his sexy Choti Begum.

A source from the flick says, “Saif came to Los Angeles, when Kareena was to shoot with Sylvester Stallone and Denise Richards. She was sexily dressed and Saif didn’t seem to mind. Instead he came on the sets and whistled whenever he saw her. He also told co-star Akshay Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala ‘What to do? I really feel like whistling everytime I see her’.”

Well with mom Sharmila doing the first bikini act, and sister Soha also joining the bikini bandwagon for Maxim, Chote Nawab shouldn’t even have a slightest of problem with sexy Bebo. Right?

Ayesha Takia Marriage

Salman Khan's cameo in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani

This is a film that all the cinegoers are waiting with a bated breath. And it's directed by none other than the man who gave us hits and smash hits like Damini, The Legend Of Bhagat Singh and Khakee to name a few! We are indeed talking about the Ranbir-Katrina starrer Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani that's directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.

And as the 'tradition' goes, we once again bring you one of the biggest news regarding this film. After having discovered that APKGK has Ranbir playing a depressed lover-boy hopelessly in love with his character inspired by the one played by his late grandfather Raj Kapoor in Mera Naam Joker, Bollywood Hungama went one notch further and found out that the Salman Khan will be seen in a guest appearance in the film. The source also added that Sallu bhai comes only towards the end of the film.

In order to confirm the news, when we spoke to producer Ramesh Taurani of Tips, he was totally taken aback with this info. Initially he exclaimed, "Where did you guys get this information from?" On further probing, he confirmed the news by saying "Yes, Salman is indeed there in the film, but only as a cameo."

Salman Khan had earlier worked with Rajkumar Santoshi in the cult comedy Andaaz Apna Apna which also starred Aamir Khan.

Now Sallu's presence further adds to the anticipation of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.

Ranbir Kapoor plays an NRI in Rajneeti

Ranbir Kapoor plays an NRI forced to return home to take over the family business (in this case, politics). Sounds familiar? Abhishek Bachchan played a similar role in Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar.

And both characters are inspired by Al Pacino's Don Corleone in Francis Coppola's The Godfather. Ranbir of course plays a mixture of Rajiv Gandhi and Don Corleone in Rajneeti.

And as coincidence would have it, both Abhishek and Ranbir had Katrina as their co-star, but with a difference. In Sarkar, Katrina's anglicized voice had to be dubbed although she played an NRI and could've easily used her accented voice for the character. In Rajneeti, Katrina gives long speeches in shudh Hindi all in her own voice.

Katrina Kaif's two-minute speech in front of a 10,000-strong attentive crowd at a public rally in Bhopal for Rajneeti, has whetted Ranbir Kapoor's appetite for getting right the speeches that he needs to deliver for Prakash Jha's film when he starts shooting in August.

There's just one hitch. Ranbir doesn't need to learn shuddh hindi, like Katrina did. He already knows that. He needs to cultivate an accent to sound like an America-returned Delhi boy who suddenly needs to go from monosyllabic rashtra bhasha to full-speeches.

Prakash Jha has planned intense reading and speech therapy sessions for Ranbir for him to get the accented Hindustani right.

To play a Harvard educated US-based NRI who must suddenly return home to look after his mother's political empire, Ranbir Kapoor in a role that Al Pacino would have liked to play, is not just all set to start shooting, he's raring to go.

Ranbir won't play the reluctant politician in the usual khadi kurta-pajama dress code. "Ranbir will be very trendily dressed. He plays a young man of today," informs the director.

Apparently, the character is a mix of Rajiv Gandhi and Michael Corloene from Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather.

Ranbir who joins the cast in August has been regularly calling and talking to the entire cast in Bhopal.

Says Prakash affectionately, "He even offered to leave whatever he was doing and join us in Bhopal although his shooting starts next month. I remember one day Ajay, Nana, Arjun, Manoj were working together and missing Ranbir. So in the evening we got together in my hotel room and called him. Ranbir spoke to each of us individually. He wanted to leave everything in Mumbai and join us Bhopal."

Prakash starts workshops with Ranbir after the Lok Sabha elections. Says Prakash, "Ranbir is so excited about his look, and dialogues. He needs to play a character who defines democracy in today's world. I wouldn't describe it as a multi-starrer. It's a multi-actor film. Katrina Kaif is such a revelation. She was so nervous giving a speech in front of 10,000 people. After she gave her speech I hugged her on stage and shouted out to the junta, 'Bhopal ka ticket de de kya?' As for Naseer, if I hadn't worked with him I wouldn't have been a complete filmmaker."

Kareena dubs for her film with Shahid Kapoor

Shooting for a snack ad in Chandigarh with one of her favourite directors Imtiaz Ali recently, Kareena Kapoor was one worried girl. Before she left for New York on April 20 for a month-long shoot of Rensil D'Silva's film, Kareena had to complete the dubbing for her over-fresh Kambakkht Ishq and woefully-stalled Milenge Milenge.

Close to collapse due to over-exertion and exhaustion, Kareena was determined to prove she's a thorough professional. Defying all the talk that she has been sidelining her only pending assignment with Shahid Kapoor, Kareena in fact was running in and out of the dubbing studio to complete the dubbing of Milenge Mienge before she left the country.

Sighing with fatigue Kareena says, "We're all professionals here. For me it doesn't matter who the leading man in Milenge Milenge is. For me what is important is that I made a commitment to two of my favourite people in the industry producer Boney Kapoor and director Satish Kaushik who've stood by me from the beginning of my career. How can I let them down? Boney wants a summer release for his film. I've to complete my dubbing before I leave."

Putting aside every waking moment Kareena is determined to complete her work on Milenge Milenge. "I'm running in and out of two dubbing studios. I've already completed most of the dubbing for both."

The film is special because after Jab We Met this is the only time Kareena will be seen with Shahid Kapoor.

Says Kareena, "I know people have expectations from us individually and as a pair, and they won't be disappointed. It's a very sweet film. And not dated at all though it got delayed. I'm as proud of Milenge Milenge as I am of any of my films," ends Kareena.

Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra travel in Mumbai local train

Kaminey - the very term that could actually invoke anybody to bash the person mouthing it, also happens to be the name of the much anticipated film that stars Shahid Kapoor alongwith the Priyanka Chopra and directed by the ever so versatile Vishal Bhardwaj. For many days, after the announcement of the film, not even a single soul got to know of Shahid's double role in it, a much guarded secret that has now become the USP of the film! So much for irony. The adjoining snap has Shahid in one of his most likeable avatars alongwith Miss Chopra, which has been shot inside of a train.

Well, the news from our reliable sources also has it that the till now chocolate boy Shahid will be seen as someone who is totally absolutely raw, rigid and sturdy! Not just that, even the locations in which the film has shot have been kept as rustic as possible, which includes local stations, and scarp and junkyards! Word also has it that in this film, Priyanka plays an extremely vocal Maharashtrian girl, who believes in making herself heard. If that wasn't enough, then, hear this one. Kaminey also marks the 'debut' of Amole Gupte as the ruthless villain. For starters, Amole is the very name that was in eternal spotlight for quite sometime, courtesy the 'creative differences' between him and Aamir Khan, during the shoot of Taare Zameen Par.

Well, we are just having galore of reasons to yearn for that time machine as we just cannot wait any longer for Kaminey.

Amitabh puzzled over failure of 'Panchvi Pass'

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan says he is puzzled over the falling TRP ratings of game shows like 'Panchvi Pass', hosted by stars like Shah Rukh Khan.
Amitabh puzzled over failure of 'Panchvi Pass'
Writing on his blog, Bachchan referred to reports that SRK hosted 'Panchvi Pass', was Panchvi Fail, after its not too encouraging numbers saying that he wished to find out reasons of lower ratings and would like to have inputs from bloggers.

Bachchan, who virtually revolutionalised television game shows with 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' (KBC) wondered whether such question-answer game shows are losing the interest of the audience or whether the growing number of television channels are responsible for the decline in their TRPs.

The Bollywood icon was also skeptical of the format of question-answer game shows. "Why is there a depleted performance despite the presence of the biggest name in the business?" he asked. The actor also wanted to know if TV ratings are a correct indicator of the popularity of a particular show.

He said TV viewership has exponentially gone up. Does this reflect positively or negatively on the ratings. Is the fall in ratings due to the increase in the number of channels? Bachchan asked.

He said, "KBC 1 ran non-stop for almost two years and then with an adequate break the 2 and the 3. I am unable to understand its falling interest as the graphs show despite the fact that they were presented by bigger and more popular stars, namely Shah Rukh, he said.

Aishwarya still rides high on international endorsements

She may no longer be the face of brands like -Coca-Cola and Nakshatra diamond jewellery in India, but Aishwarya Rai is still riding high on successful and long-standing international endorsements.
Aishwarya still rides high on international endorsements
Aishwarya has completed nearly a decade of endorsing Swiss luxury watch brand Longines and international soap Lux. She has also been the brand ambassador of global haircare brand L'Oreal since 2003.

Noted ad-man Prahlad Kakkar says Aishwarya is sought by well-known brands because she is more than just an actress and is often perceived as an ambassador of India.

"Aishwarya was never a big or major endorser of Indian products. She has an impressive list of international brands to her name and that's because she is not just an actress who can be judged on hits and flops, but the fact that she is a representative of the Indian woman and is an ambassador of the country," Kakkar, who made her famous as Sanju in a 1993 TV commercial for Pepsi, told us on phone from Mumbai.

Even representatives of the brands that Aishwarya endorses feel she adds a new dimension to their products.

"Aishwarya has been associated with us since 1999 and it is a big help. Not only in this country but also globally," Charles Villoz, vice president (sales) of Longines International, had earlier said.

"People across the world love Bollywood films and they go housefull. Wherever we have travelled (with Aishwarya) the response has been overwhelming. She is a global face and we would like to continue this association as long as possible," Villoz said.

When she was approached to promote L'Oreal's skin whitening cream, the beauty queen-turned-actress refused as she didn't want to endorse such a product especially in India, where one's skin colour is an issue, said a source close to Aishwarya.

"Whether it is films or endorsements, I am - and have been - very selective about my work. I take up work which suits me and fits in my schedule," Aishwarya had told us.

"I don't take projects that I cannot handle because I believe in totally fulfilling the commitments made by me," she added.

A lot had been said about Aishwarya's dipping popularity as Bollywood's reigning endorsement queen when 24-year-old Katrina Kaif replaced her as the face of Nakshatra jewellery last year.

And speculation was rife about the reason behind the replacement, with some saying that Katrina was roped in to add more youthfullness to the brand. But it was apparently Aishwarya who decided to dissociate herself from the brand.

"There was a lot of buzz when Katrina stepped in as the brand ambassador for Nakshatra. But it wasn't that Aishwarya was dethroned, because the brand was branching out into different accessories," the source close to the former Miss World said.

"Ash had earlier signed De Beers for their brand Nakshatra. Later De Beers sold this brand to the Gitanjali group and they started branching out into accessories like hairbands, clips, etc. That's when she decided to disassociate herself from the brand and later it went to Katrina," the source told us on condition of anonymity.

Aishwarya, who celebrated her second wedding anniversary with actor husband Abhishek Bachchan Monday, also had personal reasons to withdraw her association with Coca-Cola, one of the biggest brands she was endorsing in India.

"Aishwarya was never asked to leave endorsing a product, it was always her own decision. When she left Coca-Cola, it was a decision taken only after she was going to marry Abhishek because the Bachchans no longer believe in promoting and endorsing aerated drinks," the source added.

According to industry insiders, Aishwarya takes home nearly Rs.1 billion from advertising assignments annually.

Agent Vinod

Saif Ali Khan's home production 'Agent Vinod'. She wants the spy drama to be hot and says even the posters will be designed to portray them as Bollywood's "coolest hot pair".

It is being said that in the beginning, Kareena's role in the film was relatively less substantial than Saif's.When quizzed, Kareena told us: "Do you think I'd agree to be part of the film if my role was not as exciting as Saif? I mean, can you imagine what would happen? Saif and I will be smouldering hot in 'Agent Vinod'. Even the posters will be designed to highlight us as the coolest hot pair."A source close to the project added: "In fact Kareena wasn't sure she wanted to do 'Agent Vinod' because the title clearly indicated whom the film belonged to. But Saif convinced Kareena that her role would be at par with his. Then he convinced Sriram (Raghavan), with whom Saif has a deep rapport since they did 'Ek Hasina Thi' (2004), to make sure Kareena's presence in the film is justified."And here is where the problem creeps in. While Saif-Kareena are looking to do a high-gloss big-budget espionage thriller, director Raghavan is looking at making a gritty life-like spy drama.Raghavan admits that the film will be more in the mood of Mani Shankar's 'Mukhbiir' than director Deepak Bahry's 1977 movie 'Agent Vinod'. At the same time he says the high budget of the new-age 'Agent Vinod' forbids any over-experimentation."I grew up watching those really filmy spy films like 'Farz', 'Aankhen', 'Yakeen' and of course Rajshris' 'Agent Vinod'. I've been fascinated by the genre. However, times have changed and so have definitions of espionage. My film will occupy a more real space," said Raghavan."I've never worked on this kind of budget before. And I can't afford to be experimental. The market has to be kept in mind. So there will be music and songs. But no lip sync songs," said Rahgavan.

Abhishek, Aishwarya off on wedding anniversary holiday

Bollywood's most talked about married couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai won't be in India for their second wedding anniversary today. They have taken off on a week-long holiday to an undisclosed destination.
"Last year Abhishek was slogging it out in Miami for 'Dostana' and Aishwarya joined him there for their wedding anniversary. This year they were again supposed to be working, though happily together, for the next schedule of Mani Ratnam's 'Raavan' on their anniversary," a source close to the couple told us.
But Ratnam, who was admitted to a private hospital on Wednesday following breathing difficulty and dizziness, has been advised by doctor to rest for a while as a result the schedule of 'Raavan' has been slightly pushed ahead giving the pair a chance to go for a much-needed holiday.
"In fact, Mani Ratnam had suggested he'd start the schedule later to give Abhishek and Aishwarya a chance to take time off for their anniversary. But the couple had refused. It's only now when the schedule is pushed ahead that they've decided to take that anniversary holiday," said the source.

Why Is Diya Mirza Angry?

Diya Mirza who made her debut in Bollywood in 2001 after winning the Miss Asia Pacific Pageant in 2000, is still struggling to find a strong foothold in the industry. In the seven years of her career she has failed to deliver even a single memorable performance. Her repeated failure has led to her disappearance from the circuit for sometime and for that she is really angry with the industry. “It was important for me to back off from films. I started my career on a good note with big banners, good producers and good actors, but the films didn’t do too well. We live in an industry (Bollywood) that runs on a herd mentality. It functions only on the number of successful films you have, not your talent,” Diya said.
Nevertheless Diya’s kitty is reasonably full with Acid Factory, Johnny Mastana, Alibaug, Kaun Bola and Kisaan. “I need to find my own foothold. Even if I do a small film, I need to explore myself now. Whatever I’m doing right now is satisfying me both personally and professionally. People will see a tremendous change in my upcoming films. I am working very hard to get it right this time,” she adds.

Neetu Singh Not Sure About Deepika

Ranbir Kapoor’s mom Neetu Singh is not sure about his girl Deepika Padukone becoming her daughter-in-law. Initially we saw her going gaga over this tall beauty and now suddenly she has become quite critical about their affair. A source quoted her saying, “Deepika is just another girlfriend in Ranbir’s life.” When asked to clarify the reason of her doubts, she explained, “Both of them are very young. Its a long way to go before marriage. No one knows what future holds for them.” “In many occasions, Neetu spotted with Deepika. They made their first public appearance during the Lakme fashion week and caught the eyes of all.It was also reported that Deepika is the choice of Ranbir’s parents and they even accepted her as their bahu. But now with so many differences in Ranbir and Deepika’s life, their future of being one seems swinging. Not only their parents but Ranbir and Deepika themselves are uncertain about what future has stored for them,” the source added. Does that suggest there is trouble in paradise?

Asin Scared of Photoshoots!

Asin is a very well known actress in Tollywood and she has become quite popular up in Bollywood thanks to her debut vehicle Ghajini opposite the Perfectionist Khan - Aamir Khan.
Aamir, who is known for experimenting with different looks for each of his film is said to have worked to improve Asin’s look in the film too. Asin claims to be really scared of Photoshoots. Wonder why because she looks absolutely stunning in all her photoshoots.
Nevertheless, Aamir the perfectionist decided to arrange Asin a very good make-up man, hair stylist and asked his favorite photographer to take her pictures for Ghajini’s posters.
Looks like Aamir has really put his heart and soul in the movie… he seems to be so particular about every minute detail. Even Asin’s look in the posters.

SRK - Salman to clash?

SRK - Salman to clash? By Taran Adarsh Bollywood Hungama News NetworkIf all goes well, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will come face to face on July 3. The clash is purely professional, what with their respective films - SRK's DULHA MIL GAYA and Salman's WANTED - hitting the screens on that Friday.DULHA MIL GAYA producer Viveck Vaswani is eyeing 3rd July because "July 4 is Independence Day in America and Shah Rukh enjoys a massive following there. I would like to capitalize on the Independence Day weekend," Viveck tells me. Which means DULHA MIL GAYA will clash with Salman Khan's WANTED. "If Boney Kapoor says he's committed for 3rd July and requests me to shift my film to another week, I will do so. But so far there haven't been any talks," Viveck clarifies.DULHA MIL GAYA is far from complete. Reportedly, SRK's portions remain to be filmed. "The talkie is complete. Just one qawwali remains to be shot, which can be included at the last minute too," Viveck reveals. He also rubbishes rumours that SRK has delayed the film. "Shah Rukh had informed me at the very outset of his busy schedule and the possibility of the film getting delayed. The delay is not because of him, it's because of me. An important schedule went haywire when my father passed away. Later, Shah Rukh suffered an injury on my sets, hence things have been pushed forward."Meanwhile, DULHA MIL GAYA continues to remain in news. The latest is, Anil Ambani's Big Pictures has relinquished the rights of the project. True? "Yes, they have. The withdrawal was due to re-strategizing the company, given the current economic scenario. But I'll offer them the film once it's ready. If they want to pick up the rights then, it's okay. Else, the money invested by Big will be refunded at the time of release," he states.
